Membership
Membership at the Waikiki Yacht Club provides access to a family-oriented, leisure environment, situated at the water’s edge of the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, with a spectacular view of the famous Waikiki skyline. Members of all ages enjoy the club’s superb amenities—clubhouse lounges, bar and dining facilities, modern docks and dry storage area, swimming pool and showers, boating and paddling programs, and a variety of social activities.
Waikiki Yacht Club membership is available in several categories, including regular, associate, junior, military, intermediate and non-resident. The Waikiki Yacht Club also shares reciprocity privileges with other yacht clubs around the world, a Waikiki Yacht Club membership serves as a membership in the larger yachting community worldwide. As our club is geographically located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, we have a dynamic and diverse membership that includes many international members.
Waikiki Yacht Club members are welcome to entertain guests at the club; each guest may enjoy the facilities up to 14 times a calendar year. Beyond that, guests are invited to take advantage of one of the club’s affordable membership programs. There is no limit to the number of guests a member may entertain at the club each year, and there is no fee required for guests. However, their host members must accompany the guests.
The club has the capacity to host functions for up to 250 guests. Separate sections of the clubhouse may be reserved for private parties, and catering service is available.

Regular Membership*:
Open to persons 21 years of age and over
Initiation fee: $2500
Monthly dues: $215 month
Access card, $20 one-time fee
Minimum food and beverage charge: $330 every six months
Entitled to full use of the club, including mooring a boat, parking, club charging, voting privileges * Includes spouse membership
Regular Joint Membership*:
Open to persons 21 years of age and over
Initiation fee: $2500.
Monthly dues: $215 month
Minimum charge: $330 every six months
Access card, $40 one-time fee for 2 cards.
Entitled to club benefits of regular members with the added feature of adding spouse’s name to the account
Associate Membership*:
Open to persons 21 years of age and over
Initiation fee: $1,500.
Monthly dues: $158 month
Access card, $20 one-time fee
Minimum food and beverage charge: $40/$240 every six months
Entitled to full use of the club except voting, charging, parking, and mooring
Intermediate Membership*:
Open to persons 21 through 34 years of age
Initiation fee: $250
Monthly dues: $67 month
Minimum charge: N/A
Access card, $20 one-time fee
Entitled to full use of the club except voting, charging, parking and mooring.
Youth Membership*:
Open to persons 10 to 20 years of age
Initiation fee: $25
Monthly dues: "pay your age"
Access card, $20 one-time fee
Entitled to club benefits of associate members, subject to guarantee of conduct by a sponsoring regular member.
Non-Resident Membership*:
Open to persons 21 years of age or over, who are not residents of the island of O`ahu
Initiation fee: $800
Annual dues: $607

Entitled to Club benefits of associate members, for 60 days per year, non-cumulative
Active Duty Military Regular*
Open to all Active Duty personnel
21 years of age and over
Initiation Fee: $600
Monthly Dues: $215

Entitled to Club benefits of Regular members
May retain membership when leaving the service
Membership Process
will take approximately 30-60 days
- Application form must be signed by two sponsors, who are Regular/Life members.
- Initiation fee paid in full upon turning in your completed membership application.
- Applicant must attend an interview with the Membership Committee.
- The applicant's name is posted to the General Membership for 30 days.
- Upon Board of Directors approval, you will receive your Membership/Access card.
Additional Membership Benefits
WYC members are entitled to reciprocal privileges at hundreds of yacht clubs around the world!
Scheduled events as well as impromptu gatherings provide an opportunity for members to enjoy the Club's facilities and the comaraderie of members. Activities offered include sailing lessons, regattas, weekly racing, canoe paddling, keiki and teen activities, cocktails and dining, Sunday brunch, poolside barbeques, big screen TV's, theme parties and much more.
Members are welcome to entertain guests at the club. Each guest may enjoy the facilities up to 14 times during the year. Beyond that, we encourage folks to take advantage of our many Membership programs. There is no limit to the number of guests a member may bring into the club each year. Guests must be accompanied by a member.
The Club is available for functions of 250+ guests. The pool and adjacent area may also be reserved for your private party. Club catering is also available.
